Physiotherapy

Physical therapy is the area of health that is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of movement and functionality disorders of the body.

  • Pediatric Physical Therapy: The primary goal is to promote motor and functional development. The therapist can identify developmental delays and apply specific techniques to treat them appropriately, always respecting the child and the family. An evaluation consultation is recommended for all newborns who were born prematurely, breech, via cesarean section, or had other difficulties during labor, or presented with birth-related issues (e.g., hip dysplasia…).

  • Pelvic Physical Therapy: During pregnancy: for preventive evaluation of the pelvic floor and resolution of possible dysfunctions, with a focus on birth preparation. Postpartum: for pelvic floor evaluation and recovery from discomfort or dysfunctions (e.g., episiotomy or laceration scars, cesarean scar, abdominal diastasis…). At any stage of a woman’s (or man’s) life to address discomfort during intercourse, urinary issues, or incontinence. The goal is to improve the quality of life by addressing often delicate issues with a significant impact on daily life.

  • Respiratory Physical Therapy: A home service where the therapist applies and teaches strategies that facilitate the work of the airways in cases of acute illness (e.g., bronchiolitis or other viral infections) or chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, cystic fibrosis, COPD…).
